Statement of Vision and Purposes

Vision

To ensure our collective community can be heard. We will be an inclusive, vibrant, strong and safe community.

Purposes

The Association is established for the purposes of recovering from the impact of the summer 2019/2020 bushfires.

It will:

  • Encourage and promote community involvement in the recovery and rebuilding process and related activities

  • Identify and prioritise the needs of the Mallacoota district and assist in the recovery and rebuilding process

  • Influence government bodies to work to meet the identified needs and priorities

  • Facilitate communication of information between community, government and agencies

  • Advocate for individuals, families and community groups

  • Attract monies and identify projects/needs requiring funding

  • Manage funds and grants on behalf of individuals, families and groups within our community

  • Provide a focus for communication and coordination between community groups
